Taste tested with a Washington Syrah and a French Cabernet Franc. The earthiness of these wines complimented the olive tapenade beautifully. The rich creamy cheddar spread and summer sausage played well with the structured tannins. The mixed nuts and toasted artisan crisps provided nice salty and crunchy support.
And lastly, the fig jam was a nice compliment to the fruit forward Syrah.
